Volunteer Or Intern With Us

Grocers On Wheels runs a mobile market internship program throughout the year, accepting more than 15 interns into our organization annually. Our internship terms are year round, with occasional project opportunities associated with our major events and publications. Interns are a vital part of the AGRI-Business team. We offer unpaid internships within the following departments: media, agri-business positions (mobile cashier), weigh scale person, labeler (Local Food Research), and the Operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants first hand experience getting to intimately know the communities within food deserts in the Triangle. It’s a wonderful fit for high school students in need of community service hours, undergraduate, graduate students, community members, faith groups etc. You must provide your own transportation to, between and from locations.  Internships are unpaid. You must be 14 years old and over to apply.

Email your resume, a cover letter, and two references or letters of recommendation to: sustainablefoodsonwheels [at] gmail.com.
