C.C. Spaulding Elementary School – 2nd Graders

North Carolina Central University’s Center for Transitional Health and Equality held a childhood nutritional outreach and education program that taught finanacial literacy with our own currency featured below, agri-business, vegetable preparation and healthy food purchasing habits.

During the program Project Director Demetrius Hunter taught children how to plant their very own tomatoes plants and they exchanged their Grocers On Wheels Educational Bucks” for fresh fruits and vegetables in our mobile market.
